銀座 フォルム画廊
瀬本容子　金地テンペラ画展
－ ヨーロッパ古典技法による板絵・ガラス絵・羊皮紙絵 －

2019年11月上旬、東京都・銀座のフォルム画廊にて、瀬本容子の個展が行われました。今回の個展では、多くの新作を出展しており、大変多くの方にご来場いただきました。

In early November 2019, Yoko Semoto’s solo exhibition was held at the Form Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo. In this solo exhibition, many new works were exhibited and a large number of people visited the exhibition. 

・新作「オリーブの木」 2019年、テンペラ画、板絵、P30
　New work ‘A Tree of Olive’ 2019, tempera on board, P30

2019年に描かれたオリーブの木です。小豆島にはオリーブの木が多く植えられていますが、この木は小豆島ヘルシーランド所蔵の「樹齢千年のオリーブ大樹」です。スペイン南部のアンダルシア地方から移植されたオリーブの木は、通常のオリーブの何倍もの大きさに成長し、現在でも多くのオリーブを実らせます。遠くには広く穏やかな瀬戸内海が見えています。

An olive tree is drawn in this picture is among olive trees planted on Shodoshima. It is the “1000-year-old olive tree” in the Shodoshima Healthy Land collection, transplanted from Andalusia, southern Spain, and has grown many times larger than normal olives and still produces many olives. Far behind the olive tree, you can see the vast and calm Setonaikai Sea.

オリーブの丘にいる女性の絵です。頭にはオリーブの葉の髪飾りをつけて、手にもオリーブの葉を持っています。小豆島にはオリーブの木が沢山あり、木々の中を楽しそうに歩く様子が伝わってきます。

瀬本容子の画集の展示もございました。左が初版で、右が2000年に増版した画集です。

There was also an exhibition of Yoko Semoto’s art book. On the left is the first edition , and on the right is a collection of pictures when the edition is increased in 2000.
